I have recently installed a Falcon SS exhaust line (not from Moss) and as
far as I can remember the long straight portion of the tail pipe attached to
the silencer. I had to rotate the pipe and the silencer, until the short
straight section remained more or less horizontal.

Hi T typers
I am fitting a MOSS stainless steel exhaust system to my TD. The long tail
pipe section has a couple of gentle bends in it nearer one end than the
other
- so there is a long and a short straight section at either end. My question
is which way round does it go? Does the short staight end or long straight
end attach to the silencer?
