Scott,
Bud's suggestion will probably solve the problem, but if it doesn't,
then it is back to centering the jet. It is possible that using the jet
centering tool, the jet is still off by a very small amount.
Unfortunately, if it is, it may as well be completely off because
getting that last couple of thousanths misalignment is very fussy and
time consuming and involves loosening the jet assembly nut just enough
so that a tap with a ball peen hammer will move the assembly enough for
the piston to drop all the way. Once this point is reached, start
tightening the nut a bit at a time and keep checking the pistion drop,
It usually involves having to repeat this procedure multiple times,
finally resorting to great oaths and incantations and perhaps some
chicken blood to get everything aligned to where the piston will drop
all the way at the same time that the jet assy nut is fully tightened.
Let's hope that Bud's suggestion works.
Good luck,
Dave
