Oil Filters....
A friend of mine works for Lockheed. One of the engineers on his staff
specialized in filtration. He had spent some time as a researcher for an oil
company. He says Wix makes the best filters by a long shot. Wix makes
filters for NAPA and CarQuest.

Following is a site by a guy who has made a study of oil filters. Cut them
apart and analyzed the materials.

>> read many articles on Fram filters in general and they aren't very
> well rated. But, NAPA has a filter to fit the XPAG and it is well
> contructed using a metal housing and lots of pleats of filtering
> material. NAPA filters are considered among the best. These filters
> are for the later XPAG engine with the filter housing intregal to the
> oil pump. They also fit the MGA and early MGB.
