Hello Douglas,

The generator that came with my engine (28839) is stamped:

>     C39PV2   L0 12V
>     22258F    1   58

The 1 58 date code indicates that it's of later (MGA?) vintage, but it 
looks right, works fine and drives the tachometer cable.  Perhaps Andy 
Mace can enlighten us about the 22258F vs. 22258B.
