That wouldn't be unusual to find a thermostat to fit the TF as it's the
same as used in the MGA. They were a drop in unit similar to what is
used on modern cars. The TB-TD used a completely different thermostat
system and the thermostat is part of the water outlet pipe. To replace
the thermostat also means replacing the outlet pipe. Of course this
pipe is unique to the early XPAG fitted to the TB-TD. Look at a T
supplier's catalog and you'll see what I mean.
