You are way over due for a new battery!! IMHO, the gelcell is the only way
to go for a car that sits most of the time. I have Optima's in all my cars
except the MG SA which has the Exide version of a Gel Cell.
Gel Cells don't discharge while sitting like lead acid batteries do.
Optima's are in the $100 range but the Exides are less and available at most
auto
parts stores...I've seen Optima's at marine suppliers lately.
