Peter,
A TD2 is simply a slight revisioning of the original TD. The differences
include a different clutch, and a few other minor details.
The TD Mk II is different entirely. It was the factory built racing
version of the TD with Stage 2 tuning, dual fuel pumps, Andrex shocks in
the rear, and numerous other details including a badge on the bonnet
marking it as a TD Mk. II.

Lew Palmer

Subject: TD2 vs TD MkII
Could someone please give me an explanation of the difference, if any,
between
a TD2 and a TD MarkII? I understand that the MkII has a power bulge on
the
right side of the hood, 60 HP, extra shocks, etcetera, but is a TD2 the
same
or something else?
Thanks to all who care.
