TD Fan Belt

I'v owned a TD since 1960.  I've done major engine overhauls, trannies,
rear ends plus, as well as the never ending regular maintainance.

What is the correct fan belt for a '53TD with a stock XPAG engine?  Parts
book sez a Gates 960 (17mm X 995mm) is correct.  It fits and seems to run
OK, but there is almost no clearance between the tach drive and the
distributor cap.
