>My initial reaction to your question of a TC on unpaved or logging

The TA B and TC are well siuted to a certain form of off road sport, i.e.
off road trials as held frequently in the UK up to about the 1970s. They
are still held for prewar cars by such clubs as the Vintage Sports Car
Club. The MG MMM cars and the TA were formidable in these events such as
the Lands End and Exeter Trials with works entries - the Cream Cracker cars
for example, and the Musketeers teams. Still suspension, flexible chassis
frame, a decent power weight torque ratio, and the fly off handbrake being
ideal.
The TD is not suitable and has never been successful - too much weight for
the power, the suspension is too soft, wider, and too many chassis and
bodywork bits will hit the ground.
But the MMM and T cars are not 4 wheel drive RVs and don't expect them to
be!
