Scott,

I have a copy of the original needle charts going as far back as 1929 as
well as the Burlen catalogs. Neither list a 158 needle. I believe you have a
3rd party needle not made by SU. There were a number of these around in
years past.

However, I do have the dimensions for virtually all British cars up to 1957,
so if you have need for the dimensions, either by needle number or by car,
let me know.

Regards,
Lew Palmer

All,

I was going through the spares box I got when I purchased my TD and I came
across three jet needles. One looks old, the others look to be new. The
old looking one has "ES" stamped on it, which I know means a standard
mixture needle, but the new looking ones have a "158" on them.

I can't find a reference for a "158" needle. Any ideas what they are? I'm
almost tempted to break out the micrometer...

Enquiring minds...

Scott Allen
