Hi Guys,
Here is the info on the Datsun 210 trans from a guy who knows! Paul does a
truly excellent kit for the Morris, but as for the T cars....you may have to
ask him. His email is attached.
Best Regards,
Ray McCrary

Thanks,

Hi Ray,

Just a brief note here as I'm swamped! I should never take a weekend off!

There are some mior differences on the external appearance, but are hard to
detect by the unitiiated, so here is the easiest way to tell them apart.

79 210 Has the european or "rally" shift pattern. First and
reverse in same line, fifth is over and back, in a straight line with 4th.
DRAIN PLUG POINTS TO THE REAR! Fifth ratio is 0.846.

80, 81, 82 Conventional shift pattern, fifth is up and
forward. DRAIN PLUG POINTS DOWN! Fifth ratio is 0.821

Each trans will have cast onto the front case side in raised form the
numbers 60 about 1 inch high.

Hope this helps. There are a few finer points that need to be addresses if
the 79 is going into a Morris. Piece of cake item!

Regards, Paul
