All,
Hopefully this is the end of it. It looks like I will never find out
what was originally wrong with my transmission as UPS now admits,
(for a second time) that they've lost it.
For those needing some background, I had sent my transmission down to
Blair Engle in Tallahasse to be worked on as when you turned the spline by
hand every second rotation it would grab a bit regardless
of what gear it was in. I sent it on September 2nd, and it arrived
on the 9th severely damaged. UPS picked it up on the 15th, and after
intially denying the claim lost it. After admitting they lost it, they lost
the paperwork and had to start the whole process again. They now again
admit they lost it.
I'm supposed to get some paperwork in a few days and will eventually get a
cheque for the declared value. However, given how they've handled things
'till now I won't be surprised if the transmission shows up on my doorstep
any day now.
Best,
Scott Allen
