Hi All. I tried this message over on the MG Enthusiasts site to no avail so I
am trying it here in the hopes of reaching someone who can answer my question.

Does anybody in UK make the metal panel which fits on the sloping front body
bulkhead under the dash on a J2. This is the part with arched cutout for the
occupants legs etc. and which has the rain gutter around the arch. Has it got a
name? Failing that how difficult is it to make it out of mild steel, or would
Aluminium be better? Does this piece fit under or over the side skinning and
scuttle? On a related note, I have got the offset "T" shaped channel which
forms the rear bonnet rest but it is formed from right angled channel. Should
the centre leg of the "T" not be at an angle to the cross piece to allow for
the angle of the front frame or does it need bending to suit. Any advice to get
another J Type on the road would be welcomed.

Regards
Ian Thomson
