Yes, I have the book although I must admit I missed the detail on "special
Bits".
It all helps.
The problem is that our Motor sports body (CAMS) says trials are not
competition. This being despite the fact that if I want to compete in a
trial I must have one of their Competition Lisences". Funny crowd.
They really hate MG's. In their regs regarding gear boxes they say " the
original number of forward gears must be maintained except in the case of an
Austin where an additional gear is permitted".
Anyhow, thanks for your help.
What I really need is some photos (taken before end of 1940" of MG's in
America & Canada competing in races with small wheels. You can tell these
as wheels with "square edge rims" in those days were less than 18".
