All this talk about beginnings finally got me to check the book on the
14/28. Oddly, there doesn't appear to be any use of the chassis for
electrical continuity... There is notation that the switchbox frame
must be connected to the cylinder block, but that is just for shorting
the magneto to kill the ignition. About the closest I can figure to
"ground" is that the negative terminal of the battery is connected
permanently to the dynamotor (starter+generator), and the positive
terminal is switched. I'd use that to read negative earth...
