Mike,
the P Types, N Types, TA/B/C/D/F were all positive earth, as were
the MGA's...Early MGB's were also positive earth until 1968(?) when they
switched from a dynamo to an alternator and converted to negative earth...
Don't believe these guys when they say all MMM are negative earth.... Mind
you quite a lot of MMM cars have been converted to negative earth so that
they can run an alternator driven off the back axle. and just have a dummy
dymamo with thicker shaft to take the drive from crankshaft to camshaft.....
This will no doubt upset the purists, but have a nose under the rear of a
few well presented MMM cars next time you are at a large gathering!! It sure
makes them a lot more usable, especially at night with decent halogen
headlamp bulbs and uprated rear lamp bulbs, better to be safe than sorry...
Best wishes, Brian Rainbow PA0777 and TA2551
