There is no reason why you can not use a regulator with a three brush
generator. It will just regulate the battery voltage without the driver
selcting high or low charge. It just opens up the connection from D to F
when the battery voltage is high enough. I would set the third brush to it
maximum charge rate with the regulator installed.
