Thanks Glen.
The seat can be done (interchangeability) pretty easily. The roll cage
might be my biggest question - can parts be bolt in? or does it all
have to be welded?
Are roll cage requirements different for under 175 and above 175? (yep
found a soft record)
I prefer being safe, but at this point a dedicated race car is out of
the question. I was hoping to be able to safely run a driver.
About the best thing I've done so far was spend a morning in "tech" at
WOS. A good education, and it allows one to see that tech is done for
safety.
I apprectiate folks taking the time to answer my questions.

Dave
It can be done but the safety equipment must meet the record for the
class
and could require a lot of time to add/remove to drive on the street.
The
1st. thing is the vehicle must have a race approved seat. The scatter
shield
must 1/4" thick cover the clutch and flywheel area 360 degrees. A
Lakewood
or other steel hyroformed are the only legal ones if you go that route.
To
make a race/street vehicle thats user friendly may require a lot of
work.

Crappy computers.
Sent before I was done.
This is a general interest question, but looks like MP if/when I get
things done.
Also, is it foolish to think one could "safety rig" a vehicle and still
use it on the street? Any pointers /suggestions appreciated, as always.
