Keith,
As I said earlier, given the fact that the average internal water tank
won't handle much pressure without being specifically designed and built for
it,
the thermostat allows us to build heat in the engine while keeping the water
in the tank near ambient temp. As the water in the engine heats up the
thermostat opens a little and allows just enough circulation to maintain the
specified temp while hopefully gradually heating the coolant in the internal
