I have a rather large collection of photos of Europe looking out the bomb
bay doors with the bombs dropping and hitting, some of aircraft in
formation,some shot and wrecked planes in the north african desert as well.
Asked Dad about them. Not a word other than shrug and 'You would have to be
there to understand it.' After he died found some medals and campain ribbons
squirrled away in a dresser. Sure wish he told me about it. I would have
learned how to understand him better. He was always a pretty quiet kind of
guy. I suspect the new delayed stress cyndrome preceded Vietnam...
