You can park an RV right outside of the pits. Walking the pits is ok as long
as you have sunscreen, a good hat and lots of water. The pits can be quite
large. I assume you are planning to rent the RV. Bringing it on the salt if
it is damp means a big time clean up before returning it to the dealer.
Don't tell them it was on the salt.
