My 440 has lost oil pressure after breaking in my new camshaft, I'm not
sure why yet but I'll know by tonight but this whole episode has got me
thinking. I'm approaching 180mph at maxton(179 last year) and my main
concern is safety and I'm not sure I should be pushing a 31 year old engine
with a 31 year old crank and 31 year old harmonic balancer as hard as I do.
I don't want to blow the engine up but hey that is part of racing, but I'm
more concerned with breaking a crank etc and having a horrendous crash or at
least oiling down the track-wouldn't that make me a hit with everyone. So
the question is - do most of you who are running at or above 180mph use
strictly new parts or am I being too paranoid ( Canadian genetic default)
