You probably have heard about the night time abduction at gunpoint a week
ago today of Elizabeth Smart. There are virtually no clues since the
younger sister of the girl was told to be quiet or the gunman would shoot
her sister. She didn't awaken family members until two hours after the
kidnapping. It was dawn before police were on the scene. With that kind of
lead the guy and his captive could have already been in any of four
adjoining states.
Thousands of searchers have combed the area around the home, neighboring
homes, the Salt Lake Valley, the canyons and foothills and the area around
the Great Salt Lake. They have used every means possible to organize and
systematize the search. There are just no clues or reliable leads.

open. It has to be a nationwide search now if she is still alive.
