You are right about that! I spent a great deal of time and money in
converting my flathead over to a Hilborn FI from three 97's. Half inch fuel
line specified which was impossible to get in steel here in the boondocks,
etc. etc. After all of the re-work and engineering and $500 of chassis dyno
time, it produced almost exactly the same amount of HP. The exception was
that we have to change pills for a 10 degree temperature change for Gas.
And throttle response is not quite as good (no acc. pump). But it sure
looks neat!!
