Tom,

I guess that I lied, I will say (well whine about) something more on the
subject but only because you opened the door.

Before I go ANY further, I want to say that all members of the 200 MPH club
have my highest level of respect and admiration. And I have, in past years, had
a hand in putting some of them there.

Now to your comments:

I refer to the two records our team set at Speedweek and then raised one of
them 14 MPH at WoS. So we "established" and "broke" records in AA/L.

We gave it a shot, but 262 and/or 267 just isn't good enough for a 200 MPH
club. A little amazing to me. It wasn't as though there were no others in class
either. They just weren't fast enough this time. Neither were we....for the
club, as it turned out....we all will just have to do better next time.

Justification of minimums???? They are easy to justify......just have the
ruling body say so! That's the way rules are established. One can only hope
that they are not too self-serving. After all this is not a safety issue.

I am quite well aware of the rules thank you and, of course, must abide by
them. I sure don't have to agree with them though.

As I said, I simply believe that it is illogical to have a 200 MPH club that
one cannot get into with nearly 270 MPH!!! This is not an attack on
anyone.....just my opinion. That's what this list is, in part, for???
expressing opinions???

Next stop 300 MPH Club, chapter.....maybe that one will be more logically
established. But I haven't read the rules yet.....(-: (-:

On to important things.......headers, injection, steering(ugh!), learning the
English Wheel........no more whining....

Skip (Hopefully had our last race in lakester class if the liner version of the
car works well in testing)
