Like Keith I run a Richmond Engineering 6 speed. I agree, keeping the
motor up in the power band is important. But the real reason I went to the
6 speed is because the lowest rear gear I could get for the IR unit in the
vette is 3.08. Only if I overdrive it .80 can I hit over 200 mph.
I built the motor to peak at 6,300 rpm. At 205 mph I'm cranking 6,350 rpm.
Now, if it only develops enough power..........
