Guys
I've been through several tech inspection after a record runs. It's not
a problem. My engines are close to the limit so they don't pump. We pull the
head, directly after the run, they measure the bore and stroke. And guess
what, they got it dead on every time.
You have the one inch cushion, if needed, but be careful when you build
your engine in the first place.
Another thing to consider ambient at Bonneville can be 120 degrees in
the sun.
