I replaced mine while the body and mechanicals were off the chassis and had=
the same problem. When the car was assembled they were still too high and =
after about a year of frequent use they finally seem to be settling down to=
normal height. I=92m wondering about the unity and tolerances of the repla=
cement units...

Just did this not too long ago. You need a floor jack, bottle jack and a c=
argo strap. Put the floor jack under the spring and axle and place the flo=
or jack under the spring with the u-bolt plate in place. Wrap the strap un=
der the jack and over the axle and connect it to itself in a tight loop. A=
ll you need to do then is to pump up the bottle jack and it lifts the sprin=
g right up to the axle. Make sure the plate is positioned correctly so the=
peg on the bottom of the spring goes into the hole in the u-bolt plate. A=
lso remember to position the strap so it is not in the way when you put the=
u-bolts in place. Easy peasy. See attached photos.
