G'day Greg
What in heaven's name is a square wave?
Sounds like something I would have been dumped by at the beach during my
younger days and I ended up with a mouth full of sand.
Quite beyond me. I have enough trouble putting an overdrive back together,
although I should say that I was severely tested by a carpet shampooer this
arvo.

Subject: Re: [Healeys] ignition Systems
Hi Chris,
I'm running a Jacobs electronic ignition system that outputs a square wave
to a tach. I took my original tach to a local speedo shop here in L.A.
(North Hollywood Speedo) and they converted the tach to work with the
Jacobs. It's pretty stealthy, don't need to do the loop anymore with the
white wire (but you could).
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Eric,
I have been intrigued by these 123 distributors since I first read about
them. Now that they are available in positive ground, the only thing
keeping me from buying one is the tach hook up. Do they now supply a signal
that the original Smiths tachometer can use? If not, what can be done to
keep the original tach?
Thanks,
Chris
