Don't go back to that shop! The guy has no idea what he's talking about.
Before starting the alignment procedure he should have fixed your
steering wheel in the 'spoke upright' position - there is even a special
tool for keeping the steering wheel in that position. He should do the
alignment completely again, but has to keep his hands off the steering box!
