I put new tires on my BJ8 last week and had the front end aligned yesterday. As I was driving home I quickly noticed that the steering wheel vertical spoke was no longer centered. I went back today to have that fixed and the mechanic said "no problem". Then he called me in and said the only way to do that on a Healey was to "shim the steering box." Is that true?
