Now that the engine is running reliably, I broke out my brand new, multi function timing light to fine tune things. This revealed a large difference between actual and Tach RPM. Roughly 55%. The Tach reads 1550 when actual is 1000, 3100 vs. 2000. The archive shows that this is adjusted by the loops of white wire on the back of the Tach. In this case should I have more or fewer loops? Larger or smaller diameter of loop? Your comments are greatly appreciated, Ned Smith BJ8 near Chattanooga, TN N34.98 W85.5 |
