Ned, this happened to me once, even though tight make sure the cannister is correctly seated to the base, if it is not you can tighten it and still get this result. I tighten until the cannister is just snug to the base, then I move the canister around kind of a twist and jiggle until I can tell it is seated right then tighten the rest of the way.
