Rubber Core Plugs

I have removed the carburetors and heat shield and I see that the plug
second from the rear is weeping slightly. I really don't want to remove the
manifolds at this time so I plan to drive out the old plug with a long screw
driver and replace it with a rubber core plug from British Car Specialists.

Any pitfalls in this approach?
