The shop manual for the BN-4 through 3000 that I have lists the engine horse
power rating in BMEP. Can anyone clue me in on this?
Also, I pulled the head off of my 6 cylinder 26D motor and noticed that in
one area of the head it has 6 water passage ports on it but the block only
has 1 port about 1/4" diameter that matches. This is in the area between the
cylinders and head studs. The other 5 areas are solid (no hole). The head
gasket has 1" diameter openings in these areas. Is this normal or am I
missing 5 drilled water ports in the block to match the head? This is on the
intake/exhaust side of the engine (drivers side). The shop manual doesn't
have a good top view of the block. Sort of hard to explain without a photo.

Allyn
