I just saw the Pathe newsreel footage of the 1955 Lemans race. The
crowds were literally leaning out over the track to watch the race where
the accident happened. It's a miracle that more weren't killed.
After seeing the condition of his Healey, how did Lance Macklin walk
away from that?
