I don't know Rick, -I ran my car for a short while with that side of the T
open for a short while after it's rebuild, and that thing vented smelly oily
vapor..... It produced headaches if you drove at in town speeds for more than
15 minutes...
Does a breather cap or filter prevent that? ...It may, for all I know, -just
asking.

You can find a simple breather cap at most parts stores. Custom chrome
or billet aluminum are available. Or stuff a filter in the "T" pipe on
the top of your valve cover.
