Dave, I was looking for the same thing about a year ago and asked a professional welder friend and he suggested the Miller 135 Mig unit. He said the variable controls allow you to tweak the settings better than some of the other welders that have discrete switches. It was around $500 and seems to be really well made. It has served me well on the Healey restoration and a few household projects. Cheers, John |
