I need the knowledge of this forum. In the middle of a near to concours
restoration of my 3000, MK2, BT7 I need to trial fit the intake deflector
panels. My idea was, that the panels should have a gap to the radiator of about
1/2inch to be able to remove the radiator without removing the deflector
panels.
A very good friend of mine and Healey expert told me the air intake deflector
panels should be tucked into the radiator left and right side, so that the air
does not pass to the outside of the radiator. "Although it is difficult to do,
and get right this is how they were designed", he told me.
Now my question to the concourse experts is, who of us is right. I expect it
should be as I was told by my friend.
Many thanks for any reply.
