Did anyone else see Byron's article in N. Am. Pylon? He gave us a nice way
to analyze the first 5 seconds of a run.
I thought it was great! So I went back at a few of my recent runs. I
have Seattle Pro and a recent regional autox. I saw a lot a variation in my 1-2
shift. But the 30-40 speed didn't quite work for me. I had a couple of runs
where
I shifted at 29 m.p.h. At first, I saw a really good 30-40 time on those, but
then
realized, I didn't hit 30 until letting clutch out in 2nd :(
I'm thinking of comparing 0-35 mph as a good way to aggregate the 1-2 shift and
the
initial
clutch release.
Has anyone else checked out the first 5.0 sec. or so like this ?
