Is it overheating when you are running on the track, or just waiting to =
get on the track/when you get off and come to a halt?
I have an aluminum radiator, so I can't say for sure that a stock one =
would work in the conditions you describe, but I'm a little surprised it =
didn't, if well ducted. =20
You might take out the thermostat and put it in boiling water, see if it =
opens fully.
=20
If you want to see photos of my short, wide radiator, go to =
http://www.britishracecar.com/ScottJanzen-Triumph-GT6.htm . This was =
custom made for the car, less than $500, I think. I can get you some =
better photos of mounting and ducting. It's actually more cooling than =
is needed, keeps temp at 180 on the hottest days even with the smallest =
restrictor I can find in place of the thermostat.
I think most GT6 racers are running a stock shape aluminum rad with =
success - I just went this way because that was the shape/size of the =
rad in my car when I bought it.

Hi All.
I just finished an awesome track day at Blackhawk with my gt6 and =
almost everything worked great. It was a nice day of about 78 degrees =

exactly how hot but I can tell you that I have a dual oil pressure / =

everything is in fine shape. New coolant. 195 thermostat. Hoses are =
fine. Good fitting shroud with electric fan and a 1 liter overflow tank. =
Radiator cap is 7 lbs. The radiator was cleaned and tested by a =
radiator shop and the guy told me it was in excellent condition. So I =
guess I'm looking for an aluminum replacement radiator .I think I want a =
shorter. wider radiator. Any suggestions?
Thanks. P.J.
