I don't know if this would work for you, but what I did on my TR6 racecar
was take a decent harness and laid it on a bench and removed the wrapping.
I then proceeded to remove the unwanted wires and reuse wires for the
different functions such as fuel pump and ignition shutoff, electric fan
etc.
I then re-taped it and all the wires were the proper length and in the
proper places. This was very easy and didn't take very long at all, and
since I was using the stock gauges, made it very easy.
