I have implanted a Porsche 944 tach into my TR4 using the stock face and
housing.
It has up to 8000 rpm and does work fine so far.
The stock finger of the TR4 is quite heavy so the tach does wave for a
moment after shifting.
The face for the 8000 rpm I made with a CD label kit. In AutoCad I made the
new numbers and printed it on the CD label, did cut it out and put the
sticker onto the face.
The cost for this is the Porsche tach (about 50$) and the CD label sticker.
Cheap stuff.

Betreff: [Fot] electric tach to fit TR4 tach body?
Folks,
Does anyone know of an electric tach that will fit in the TR4 bezel? In
a perfect world it would fill the entire face, but I can make a
faceplate if it doesn't.
