Thanks for the advice.
The pushrods should be all set, they are .120 shorter than stock. The
former head was about .025 thicker - not a huge change.
I'm 100% certain that the studs were bottomed in the holes less about 1/4
turn and the nuts are not bottoming on the unthreaded portion of the
studs. I did check that.
I'm a tad leery about trimming the existing studs, but I only gotta take
off maybe one complete thread. I've done that plenty of times with
trailing arm studs.
