Hello,
On street cars, any time I have seen these "supplemental oil feed lines" used
on TR3/4/6, Morgans ect... the excess oil sent to the cylinder head tends to
end up in the combustion chamber via the intake valve guides. Valve guide seals
on the intake help.
Modifying the back journal of the camshaft to meter oil flow to the head seems
better than sending full and constant oil galley pressure to the cylinder head.
Using a chromed rocker shaft, good rocker arm bushings, good oil, and not using
excessive valve spring pressure, should maintain the integrity of the valve
gear.
