Hi Bob!
Brad and I second the Scalextric! We have a bunch of it as well, with
several open-wheel cars, a TR4 custom, an old-style Mini, and several
others I can't think of off the top of my head right now. Brad wants to
lay it all out on a big board he can lower down from the rafters of the
shop, so it won't take up floor space. And yes, you will want to add the
wires as Henry says, to keep from dropping the power out at spots on the
track.
We also had a Motorific track -- I got it for Brad since it had TR3s. I
also got him a tow truck (race Triumphs, ha ha), and a couple other
cars. I ended up selling it since the Scalextric was so much better. But
we kept the TR3 racecars (think we have two)!
Enjoy!
Susan :)
