Just a side comment, I sent two of my stock rocker shafts off to RAS a few
years back. What I got back was not the original shaft chromed and ground,
but a whole new shaft (which does not appear to be chromed, although I
haven't tested it for hardness).
I'm very happy with the result, and the price was less than the parts would
have cost me. I've got probably 20K miles on one of them, and it's just
looking nicely polished where the rockers ride on it.
