If you are street racing(?? missed that part of the thread) or SOLO
racing....just replace the rear end gears for a set of 4:11, 4:33 or
4:56's....depending on whether you have to drive the freeways home again.
And if you do.....leave the rear section of your exhaust unwelded so you can
unbolt it and change the diff at the track. I have that down to about 20
minutes!!
You did ask for cheap and already have a good head and triple webers and a
cam. Gears are about the next cheap acceleration trick in that lineup.
