Greg - just went through that @#$!&*$*!! exercise. After bending one I got
the use of an extra pair of hands to start circlip onto shaft by tapping as
I held it open "just enough" with circlip pliers. This causes circlip to
fly across the room several times before you get it onto the shaft!
Good luck - Jack Coffey - Tr250

Subject: @#$!&*$*!!! tranny circlip
I've been trying to reassemble my TR6 tranny and have run into a snag. The
bloody circlip on the front end of the main shaft won't expand without
bending. I don't have the Churchill tool to do apply the circlip as
illustrated in the manual.
Has anyone got any bright ideas?
