The issue with TRIUMPH's overdrive units is that there are two clutches that
each would prefer a different lube. Mike Belfer always said that KENDALL
THREE STAR was a compromise that attempted to address both needs. That stuff
is often hard to find, but worth looking for. This thinking comes from Group
44 in the 1960/70s, so perhaps there is a modern alternative, but KENDAL
THREE STAR is what we use.
